Ability to play an active role in this unpredictable global society.
Acquire the ability to comprehensively observe and analyze the world.
The goal of learning at APU is to gain a wide range of knowledge and perspectives, and to build a good foundation to become a world citizen. APS (College of Asia Pacific Studies) has four fields of study: Environment/Development, Tourism, International Affairs, Culture/Society/ Media, and by studying each field, you will be able to deal with any problems that confront you. This is the reason why APS emphasizes Field Study, where students will work on research activities in Japan and overseas. Students will receive pre-learning from a faculty member who specializes in the selected theme, and conduct on-site training with that faculty member. We offer programs on a variety of themes, such as community development, differences in development approaches between different countries/regions, and peacebuilding.
